Sri Ramavathara Vaibhavam
Sri:
Sage Valmiki was the one who completely bowed down to the glory of Sri Rama. This was possible due to the fact that he was blessed by none other than Brahma. In fact Brahma gave the quintessential summary like a sweetened gooseberry. Hence Valmiki Ramayana is considered as the best amongst all epics. Swami Desikan says that “Only Valmiki and Vyasa are considered as poets, rest whoever considers them as poets are making a mockery of themselves”.

Numerous other poets have written hymns about the Ramayanam in many different languages based on Valmiki’s story. Sanskrit poet Murari wrote “AnarghaRaghavam” – The untarnished brilliance of Rama. Why do all poets hail Sri Rama as their greatest hero and sing glories to him? These poets don’t think it intriguing to talk about any other heroes. He both asks and responds to the question.
“Oh people!,, the world is full of such magnificent heroes. Do you know why, despite the existence of many other great heroes, so many poets choose to chant exclusively the praises of SriRama? It is not the poets’ fault. Rama’s qualities, or gunas, are to blame. The fundamental reason why poets instinctively praise SriRam as the hero is because He is constantly full of kalyana gunas”, according to Murari.

Several poets also depicted the stunning nectar of Rama avatar based on their skills.
Even though SriRama is described in the Valmiki Ramayana as the human being with human sentiments and emotions, for the rishis and sages, HE is always an immortal being, or Paramatma. The manner Rama was addressed by Vishwamitra, sages in the Dandakaranya forest, and Mandodari shows it evidently that HE is the paramatma.
Having said that, let us now enjoy how these poets had portrayed their hero.
Many slokas, prabhandam (Tamil poetry), and gadyam (prose) about Sri Rama have been bestowed upon us by Swami Desikan. The beauty is that by having read Swami Desikan’s Padhuka Sahasram and Abhayapradhanasaram work, one can comprehend the full meaning of the Ramayana. One doesn’t need to certify that Mahaveeravaibhavam a.k.a Raghuveeragadyam is a masterpiece.
It is a delight to one’s ears, be it those complex tongue twisters or the essence of a sweetened wine of that gadyam. The gadyam refers to Swami Desikan as “Katora sukumara gumbha gambhiram.” Raghuveera gadyam is the perfect example for the saying “The poetic capability of a poet is in composing a prose or gadyam.
There is a passage or churnika, where it is mentioned as “Kosala suthaakumara bhaava kanchukita kaaranaakaara”. Let us try to understand a bit deeper on this. This phrase has a meaning that is as pure as nectar. Sri Rama is the Jagadkaaranan i.e. HE is the reason for this entire cosmos. It all starts and ends with HIM.
Rama was born as “KauslayaAnandhaVaradhanan”. Valmiki praises him as “Jagannathan” when Kausalya delivers him.
In dramas and movies, it is customary for the hero to appear in disguise. To distinguish the villains—those who are harming society—they don various outfits. We do appreciate when heroes depict themselves in such a clever manner that they avoid being detected. Those who wear these outfits are known as “Kanchukam“. The correct translation of Jagadkaaranan is Jagad Kaarana Aakaaran, which means that Rama is merely a disguise for the person who is in fact responsible for this world’s creation.
It should be mentioned that whenever the hero performs well, the film finally becomes a hit, and the set decorations, such as the hero’s costumes from the film and other objects like his car, watch etc, are auctioned off. Also, the fans purchase these products by paying a premium for the actor and his exceptional acting abilities. Similar to this, Rama, the son of Kausalya, has donned the kanchukam, indicating that he does not behave like a Paramathma.
The person who is carrying everything in him is in a mother’s womb.
This is mentioned in Kamba Ramayana

Bhoja Kavi in his work Champu Kavya explains it very aesthetically and mentions it as “Nyagrodha patra samathaam kramachah prayaathaam”
Swami Desikan in his work, Virodhaparihaaram, a sacred secret text, mentions that he is the Upayam, the one who gives the desired fruit/ result, is the son of Dasaratha. To explain further, he uses the sloka of poet Murari as follows
The world’s fastest horse is called Ashwamedha. The person who does ashwamedha yagam with the four vedas will receive the entire universe as a gift. Dasaratha undertook such an ashwamedha yagam in an effort to win the support of his people. Devas from all other planets participated in that yaga, and they were extremely pleased with how Dasaratha handled the proceedings. As a result, Sriman Narayana himself, the one who brings about the desired fruit or result, came as Rama, Dasaratha’s son.
Fans collecting their favorite heroes’ artifacts are popular these days. Similar to this, poets and devotees extol the virtue of Rama’s kanchuka bhavam, (beautifying himself as a person). Let us also celebrate the birth of Sri Rama by thinking of his glories to this world.
