மர்ம நபர்களின் மாநாடு
மிகவும் தீய எண்ணங்கள் கொண்ட சில மர்ம நபர்கள் ஒரு மாநாட்டை நடத்தினர். தங்களைப்போன்ற மனோபாவம் கொண்டவர்களை பல ஊர்களிலிருந்தும் அவர்கள் வரவழைத்தனர். அனைவரும் ஓரணியில் திரண்டு ஆலோசனை செய்தனர். அவர்களின் நோக்கம் ஒன்றேயொன்றுதான். “இந்த தேசத்து மக்கள் அமைதியாக இருக்கக்கூடாது. எவ்வகையிலாவது அவர்களுக்கு பெரிய கஷ்டத்தை உண்டாக்க வேண்டும். இதனால் மன நிம்மதியிழந்து மக்கள் மிருகங்களைப் போன்ற மனோநிலைக்கு ஆளாவார்கள். தங்களின் சங்கல்பமும் பலித்திடும்” என்று.
அதன்படி நல்ல அமைதியை எப்படிக்கெடுப்பது? எனும் ஆலோசனைக் கூட்டம் தான் தற்போது நடைபெறுகிறது. தேசத்தின் நலனுக்காக பாடுபடாமல் இந்த தீயசக்திகள் திட்டம் தீட்டுகின்றனர் மக்களிடையே கலந்திருந்து, அவர்கள் அறியா வண்ணம் விஷத்தை விதைத்து ஒட்டு மொத சமுதாயத்தையே சீர்குலைப்பது அவர்களின் ரகசிய எண்ணம். அதற்கான ஆயத்த வேலைகளில் அனைவரும் ஈடுபடுகின்றனர்.
“இதென்ன! ஏதோ விபரீதமான கட்டுரை போலுள்ளதே. மேலே படிக்க, படிக்க என்னென்ன வரப்போகிறதோ தெரியவில்லையே” என்று பதறாதீர்கள். பதற்றமில்லாமல் மேலே படியுங்கள். கூட்டம் நடந்த இடம், மர்ம நபர்கள் யார்? மாநாட்டின் நோக்கம்? அதனால் விஷம் பரவி மக்களுக்கு ஆபத்து உண்டானதா? என அனைத்தையும் அறியலாம்.
சுவாமி வேதாந்த தேசிகன் அருளிய ஒரு ஸம்ஸ்க்ருத நாடகத்திற்கு “சங்கல்ப சூர்யோதயம்” என்பது பெயர். இது முழுதும் ஜீவனாகிய நமது உள்ளத்தில் எழும் உணர்ச்சி அலைகளை மையப்படுத்தி எழுதப்பட்டது. எளிமையாகப் புரிந்து கொள்ள ஒரு உதாரணம் தருகிறேன்.
நமக்குள் பலவிதமான எண்ணங்கள் உண்டாகின்றன. பொதுவாக நல்ல எண்ணங்கள் உண்டாகும் காலம் மிக மிகக் குறைவு. அனேகமாக தீய எண்ணங்களே நம்மை ஆக்ரமித்துக் கொள்கின்றன. அதிலும் பிறரின் பெருமை கண்டு வரும் பொறாமை இருக்கிறதே! அப்பப்பா! ஆயிரம் துர்யோதனர்களுக்கு இது சமமானது.
இப்படி தீய எண்ணங்கள் கௌரவர்களைப் போன்று அதிகமுண்டு. நல்ல எண்ணங்கள் பாண்டவர்கள் ஐவரைப்போன்று மிகவும் குறைவு. இந்த இரண்டு கோஷ்டிகளுக்கிடையில் நடக்கும் உள்மனதின் போராட்டம் தான் தர்மயுத்தம். அதாவது விவேகத்துடன் புலனடக்கம் பெற்று வாழ்க்கையை ஜயிப்பது தான் நாடகத்தின் சுருக்கமான கரு.
இப்போது இந்த “விவேகன்” எனும் மஹாராஜாவை (தர்ம புத்ரன் போன்றவர்) வீழ்த்த சதியாலோசனையில் ஈடுபடுகின்றனர் கௌரவர் போன்ற எதிரிகள். அதாவது “நல்ல எண்ணம் பெருகி, ஒருவன் நன்நிலைக்கு வந்து விடக்கூடாதாம். எப்படியாவது அவனை வீழ்த்த வேண்டும்” என்பதே நோக்கம்.
இதற்காக மஹாமோஹன் (துர்குணங்களின் தலைவன், மஹாமூர்கன் – பிறர் நல்வாழ்க்கையைப் பொறாதவன்) தலைமையில் சதியாலோசனை தொடங்குகிறது.
பேராசை, ஆடம்பரம், தற்புகழ்ச்சி, பெரியோர் சொல்கேளாத கர்வம், திருட்டு எண்ணம், வஞ்சனை, கபடம், நாஸ்திகம், பெண்ணாசை, மண்ணாசை, பொருளாசை, பிறர் மனைவிபால் ஆசை, சூழ்ச்சி, பொறாமை, பிறநிந்தனை முதலிய மர்ம நபர்கள் – ஆம் நமக்குளே இவர்கள் ஒளிந்திருக்கின்றனர் என்பதை நாம் அறியாமலேயே வாழ்கிறோமே. நம்மையறியாமல் நம்முடன் வசிப்பவர்கள் மர்மநபர்கள் தானே.
இந்த மர்ம நபர்கள் தலைநகரமாகிய தேகத்திற்குள் ஒரு மாநாட்டை நடத்தினர். அதன்படி சாத்வீக எண்ணம் குலைய உறுதியேற்றனர். அப்படியானால் மக்களின் பழக்க வழக்கங்களின் மாற்றத்தை உண்டாக்க வேண்டுமே! அதற்கு என்ன செய்வது? என யோசித்தனர்.
மக்களின் சாத்வீகமான (சுத்தமான) ஆகாரத்தை எச்சில்படுத்தி அதனை பழுதாக்குவது. ஏனெனில் ஆகாரம் (உணவுப்பழக்கம்) சுத்தமானால் தான் எண்ணம் நல்லதாகும். அதை அசுத்தமாக்கினால் சுலபமாக நல்ல எண்ணம் அழியும்.
அதன் பின்னர் ஆசாரத்தை அழிப்பது, ஒருத்தர்கொருத்தர் விலகியிராமல் (ஆண் , பெண் பேதமின்றியும்) கூடியிருப்பது.
இதனால் சுத்த ஆசாரம் கெடுமே. பின்னர் “தற்புகழ்ச்சிக்கும், நல்ல செயல்களை காரணமில்லாமல் எதிர்ப்பதற்கும் அவர்களை மூளைச்சலவை செய்வது. பெரியோர்களின் பழக்கவழக்கங்களையும் நிந்திப்பது. எங்கும் கலிதர்மமாகிய விஷத்தை பரவச்செய்வது” என்று தீர்மானித்தனர்.
அதன்படி செயல்படத்தொடங்கி தேசமெங்கும் விரைந்தனர். இதனால் மக்களின் மதிகலங்கியது. மனோநிலையில் மாற்றம் உண்டானது. இந்த மர்மநபர்களின் விஷத்தீண்டல் வேகமாகப் பரவியது கண்டு விவேக மஹாராஜன் விரைந்து செயல்பட்டான்.
மீண்டும் ஆசாரத்தை வலியுறுத்தும் ஆணை பிறப்பித்தான். மக்களின் மனதில் உண்டான பயத்தை நீக்கினான். மர்ம நபர்களை ( தீய எண்ணங்களை) உடனடியாகக் கண்டறிந்து அவர்களை விலக்கிட ஜ்ஞான தீபம் ஏற்றிவைத்தான்.
மர்ம நபர்களின் எதிர்பார்ப்பு பொய்த்தது. இனி அவர்கள் தலையெடுக்கவாகாதபடி விவேகத்திற்கு வெற்றி உண்டானது. மக்களும் இயல்பு வாழ்க்கைக்கு (சாத்வீக மனோநிலைக்கு) திரும்பினர்.

Secret Meeting of Mysterious People
A group of people with evil thoughts decided to conduct a conference and they invited people from other places who had similar thoughts. They all came together and brainstormed ways to disrupt the peace of the people of this land. This group wanted people to get agitated so they will behave like animals, thereby leading to a complete unrest.
This conference was aimed to find the ways and means to achieve this objective. Instead of coming together for the country’s progress, this group’s secret objective was to mix in with the people and spread poison to completely destroy the society. Everyone gleefully participated in it.
If you’re wondering that this looks like a controversial post, just read on to know where this conference was held, who these mysterious people are, and what’s the poison that was used.
Sankalpa Suryodayam is a Sanskrit drama written by Sri Vedanta Desikan and this work revolves around the many thoughts that emanate in the minds of Jivatmas like us. Here is an example to help you understand this easily.
Many thoughts originate in our minds and out of these, good thoughts are few and far between. For the most part, only bad thoughts envelop us. In particular, the jealousy we feel when we see others is equal to a thousand Duryodhanas!
Our bad thoughts are many like the Kauravas while good thoughts are a few like the Pandavas. The battle that happens between the two forces inside our minds is Dharmayudham (holy war). The crux of Sankalpa Suryodayam is how the good thoughts win over the bad thoughts by controlling the senses.
Now, these mysterious people who are like Kauravas are planning to defeat a righteous person called “Vivekan“, who is Yudhishtiran. In other words, the aim of these mysterious people is to prevent a person to have good thoughts and get to a resulting exalted position.
To this end, the meeting was held under the guidance of Mahamogan (the leader of evil qualities, a great fool, and one who is always jealous of others’ good lives). Greed, pomp, egotism, arrogance, stealth, vengeance, sly, atheism, lust, cunningness, jealousy, and evil thoughts were the mysterious people. Yes, we live without understanding that these people are deep in our minds and that’s why they are a secret group of mysterious people!
The conference is taking place in the headquarters of this group, which is our body. Accordingly, they took an oath to bring down our good qualities and they began thinking on ways and means to change the habits of people, so their good qualities will diminish.
Finally, they decided that a good option is to adulterate the good food that people eat because food is the driving force behind good thoughts. Next, they targeted Aachaaram (austere way of life) and social distancing where men and women are always in close contact with each other.
To put their ideas into practice, they spread themselves across the entire nation. As a result, people’s mind deteriorated and there was a marked change in their behavior. Seeing the rapid spreading of these poisonous tentacles, King Vivekan swung into action swiftly.
He passed orders to bring back Aachaaram, eliminated the fear from people’s minds, annihilated the evil thoughts (mysterious people), and lighted the lamp of knowledge to eradicate them.
All this quashed the plan of these mysterious people and ensured that they could never surface again! As a result, people also came back to their normal lives (Satvik way of living).
